Eleventh-ranked Szedeak (5-14) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Falco-Szova (16-2) in Szeged on Sunday. The visitors from Szombathely managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected much easier game. Szedeak was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Falco-Szova made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Laszlo Kalman (186-72, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 assists. American guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fair Dickinson) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American guard Jonathan Levy (193-82, college: CS San Bernar.) answered with 22 points and 5 assists and Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Szedeak. Five Szedeak players scored in double figures. Falco-Szova have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-2 record. Szedeak lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Jaszberenyi. Falco-Szova are looking forward to face Soproni (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Szedeak will play against Kecskemeti and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
