Familia Schio surprise Perfumerias in Spain and became the only team in EuroLeague best-of-three eighth-final series to win away from home. The Italian side won 67:59 and will meet Perfumerias in Italy in Game 2. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first quarter 14:12. Familia Schio added massive 23-12 in the second quarter and enjoyed 37:24 at the halftime. Perfumerias Avenida won third quarter 20-14 and looked forward to the last stanza. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Masciadri and Laura Macchi brought the last points in the game for the winners to bring them the victory. Laura Laura Macchi nailed 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side and American center Janel Janel McCarville accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds. Erika De Souza came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds and forward Marta Marta Fernandez added 18 points respectively for Perfumerias Avenida in the defeat.
