Top 16 Round 5: Gescrap BB - Montepaschi 60-59

Bilbao grabbed 60-59 thriller win against Montepaschi on Wednesday night for 3-2 record in Group F of the Euroleague Top 16. Bilbao will clinch a Playoffs spot with another win or if Real Madrid loses any of its remaining Top 16 games. Despite defeat, Montepaschi stays No.1 in this pool with 4-1 record. Marko Banic top-scored for the winners with 16 points and he pulled down 8 rebounds. Raul Lopez followed him with 15 points, but he was a hero of the night as he buried the game-winning shot at the buzzer. Montepaschi was 58-59 up and Bilbao had 6.4 seconds for the last possession, what was enough for the experienced Spanish point guard to bring Bilbao one of the biggest wins in its history. Alex Mumbru added 10 points for the hosts. In Montepaschi, Igor Rakocevic had 14 points and Bo McCalebb added two less. David Moss stopped to 10 points. Quarters: 7-8, 14-14, 18-17, 21-20. In the last round of Top 16, Bibao will meet Unicaja on the road. Montepaschi waits Real Madrid.
