The game in Nyon supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Monthey (13-5) played at the court of 8th ranked BBC Nyon (2-17). Monthey smashed BBC Nyon 93-43 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Monthey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BBC Nyon to just 7 points in first quarter. Monthey dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to BBC Nyon's 26. Monthey forced 19 BBC Nyon turnovers and outrebounded them 41-20 including a 32-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was center Sean Finn (212-82, college: Dayton) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Swingman Ian Boylan (197-83, college: CS Northridge) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Monthey players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Nathan Connolly (196-77, college: St.Rose, NY) who recorded 11 points and power forward Kramer Knutson (205-89, college: Portland) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Monthey. They moved-up to third place. BBC Nyon lost their thirteenth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 17 games lost. Monthey will meet at home Starwings (#6) in the next round. BBC Nyon will play against SAM Massagno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
