Top 16 Round 5: Real Madrid - Unicaja 86-65

Real Madrid demonstrated its power against Unicaja celebrating 86-65 home win in Round 5 of the Euroleague Top 16. Thanks to this victory Real Madrid joined Bilbao on the second place in Group F with 3-2 record. Unicaja stays the only winless team in this pool. The two Playoff berths from this group will be decided in the final week as the three teams still have options to advance. Nikola Mirotic led the hosts with double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Sergio Llull scored 15 and Jaycee Carroll followed with 2 points less. In the loosing squad, Gerald Fitch delivered 15 points. August Cesar Lima (7 rebs) and Hrvoje Peric scored 12 and 11 pts respectively. Unicaja had a great start as they made 14-22 lead in the first ten minutes, but Real Madrid took control on them after that and never looked back. Real tied the score at the HT and took 6-point lead before the last ten minutes, when they smashed Unicaja with impressive 27-12 for the final 86-65 victory. In the last and crucial round of Top 16, Real Madrid will meet Montepaschi in Siena. Unicaja waits Bilbao.
