Regular Season Round 20: Atomeromu - Kaposvari 86-62

Everything went according to plan in Paks where sixth ranked Atomeromu (13-7) outscored 8th ranked Kaposvari (8-12) 86-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Kaposvari managed to win fourth quarter 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Atomeromu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was American Nick Williams (192-83, college: Cincinnati, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 21 points. The other American import guard Lorenzo Williams (191-84, college: Rice, agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. Atomeromu's coach Enrique Gutierrez felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Gergely David (206-83) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Jozsef Lekli (206-87) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Atomeromu have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kecskemeti. Loser Kaposvari keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Soproni. Atomeromu will meet Marso NYKK (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Kaposvari will play against Albacomp in Szekesfehervar and hope to secure a win.
