A Division top team - Falco-Szova (17-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Soproni (8-12) in Szombathely 103-89. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 65-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Falco-Szova made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international guard Laszlo Kalman (186-72, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 assists and American guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fair Dickinson) who added 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Falco-Szova players scored in double figures. Falco-Szova's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian center Benson Egemonye (207-83, college: Niagara) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Falco-Szova have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-2 record. Soproni at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Kaposvari. Falco-Szova are looking forward to face league's second-placed Szolnok in Szolnok in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
