Regular Season Round 23: Starwings - BBC Nyon 80-71

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Starwings (8-13) beat bottom-ranked BBC Nyon (2-19) in Basel 80-71 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-71. Starwings looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW, agency: Warren Sports International) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Brandon Jenkins (190-85, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 13 points and 10 assists for the winning side. American power forward Kramer Knutson (205-89, college: Portland) came up with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian swingman Srdjan Zivkovic (200-86, agency: 011 Sports) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for BBC Nyon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Starwings maintains sixth place with 8-13 record. BBC Nyon lost their fifteenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Starwings will meet at home SAM Massagno (#8) in the next round. BBC Nyon will play against Fribourg and hope to secure a win.
