Regular Season Round 22: BSE-FCSM - Cegledi EKK 76-62

There was a minor upset in Budapest where 9th ranked Cegledi EKK (6-16) was defeated by eleventh ranked BSE-FCSM (3-19) 76-62. Cegledi EKK was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 40-23 second half run of BSE-FCSM. They made 30-of-34 charity shots (88.2 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Cegledi EKK helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for the former international swingman Andrea Karolyi (183-75) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Dora Szondy (173-88) contributed with 19 points (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for the winners. BSE-FCSM's coach Artur Puskas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Polish forward Claudia Sosnowska (186-90) replied with 9 points and 11 rebounds and Polish guard Katarzyna Cymmer (172-89) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Cegledi EKK. Four Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. BSE-FCSM maintains eleventh position with 3-19 record. Cegledi EKK lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
