Regular Season Round 23: Jaszberenyi - Falco-Szova 89-101

A Division top team - Falco-Szova (21-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Jaszberenyi (6-18) 101-89. It looked good early as Jaszberenyi took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Falco-Szova had a 32-20 second period charge getting the lead and Jaszberenyi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 89-101. Falco-Szova shot 63.3 percent from the field and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a quality performance for the former international guard Laszlo Kalman (186-72, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who led the winners and scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fair Dickinson) accounted for 30 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Falco-Szova players scored in double figures. American guard Jibril Hodges (188-84, college: Long Beach St.) came up with 21 points and 6 assists and Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (207-86, agency: BeoExcell) added 26 points respectively for Jaszberenyi in the defeat. Falco-Szova have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-3 record. Newly promoted Jaszberenyi keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Falco-Szova will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jaszberenyi will play again at home against the league's leader Falco-Szova (#1) in Szombathely and hopes to get back on the winning track.
