There was no surprise in Zalaegerszeg where 14th ranked ZTE KK (1-23) was defeated by tenth ranked FS Debrecen (8-16) 91-74 on Sunday. The game without a history. FS Debrecen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Michael Schachtner (206-86, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Darren Moore (190, college: Cal-Irvine) helped adding 26 points and 9 rebounds. FS Debrecen's coach Raul Jimenez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Gergely Toth (207-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Esian Henderson (204-86, college: Central Mo.) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four ZTE KK players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for FS Debrecen. They maintain tenth place with 8-16 record. ZTE KK lost their twelfth game in a row. Defending champion stay dead last with 23 lost games. FS Debrecen will face higher ranked PVSK Pannon (#7) in Pecs in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ZTE KK will play on the road against the league's second-placed Albacomp (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
