Krasnie Krilya (#5) forced the game against Triumph Lyubertsy (#4) into an overtime, but lost by five points 91-96 on Wednesday night. Krasnie Krilya trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 27-11 last quarter charge cut the deficit to tie the game 84-84 at the end of regular time. But then they lost overtime period 7-12. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Triumph Lyubertsy made 7 blocks. Krasnie Krilya was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Sergey Karasev (201-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners.
