Quarter-Finals Round 4: Gescrap BB - CSKA 71-73

CSKA Moscow advanced to the Euroleague Final Four after 71-73 victory in Bilbao on Friday night. The Russian powerhouse won the series with almost perfect 3-1. Andrei Kirilenko was a key player in victory with 23 points and 8 rebounds (valuation 29). Nenad Krstic (7 rebs) and Ramunas Siskauskas helped with 13 points each, while Viktor Khryapa added 10 points and 5 rebounds. In the loosing squad, Aaron Jackson collected 19 points and 8 assists. D'or Fischer had 12 points and 6 rebounds, and Axel Hervelle stopped to 10 points. Bilbao finished a spectacular debut season in the Euroleague with a tough loss. CSKA was 63-70 up with less then two minutes to go in the game and Alex Mumbru made a basket cutting the margin to five, after what Jackson made one FT for 66-70. Andrei Kirileko split free throws and D’or Fischer scored for Bilbao, after that Teodosic missed for CSKA. Aaron Jackson stepped up with two successful shots from the line and there was 7.5 seconds left, 70-71. Teodosic was immediately sent to the line and he sank both and CSKA fouled Jackson with 2.9 seconds to go. He scored the first one and missed second on purpose, but Kirilenko rose for the rebound to seal the game and series. Quarters: 15-21, 13-18, 19-17, 24-17.
