Regular Season Round 25: Atomeromu - Albacomp 71-66

The game between second ranked Albacomp (20-5) and fifth ranked Atomeromu (17-8) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Albacomp was defeated by Atomeromu in a tough game in Paks 66-71. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Albacomp. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 38-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Atomeromu made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Atomeromu outrebounded Albacomp 44-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Gergely Koertelyesi (203-83, agency: TSS Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Ferdinand Morgen (211-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Muhammad El Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook) answered with 13 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Albacomp. Atomeromu maintains fifth place with 17-8 record. Albacomp at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. Atomeromu are looking forward to face FS Debrecen (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Albacomp will play against the league's second-placed Szolnok (#2) in Szolnok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
