An interesting game for Triumph Lyubertsy (11-5) which played road game in Kuban against one of their biggest challengers Lokomotiv (9-8). Third ranked Triumph Lyubertsy had an easy win 87-69. The game without a history. Triumph Lyubertsy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. 24 personal fouls committed by Lokomotiv helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Triumph Lyubertsy players scored in double figures. Guard Maxim Grigoryev (195-90) replied with 12 points and 6 assists and French center Ali Traore (207-85, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lokomotiv. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Triumph Lyubertsy have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-5 record having four points less than leader CSKA. Lokomotiv at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Triumph Lyubertsy are looking forward to face league's second-placed Khimky in Khimki in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lokomotiv will have a break next round.
