There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Unics Kazan (7-10) beat 6th ranked Krasnie Krilya (7-10) in Samara 84-68. The game was mostly controlled by Unics Kazan. Krasnie Krilya was better in third quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Unics Kazan made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Krasnie Krilya helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized Belarusian forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84, agency: RU-Basket Management) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Terrell Lyday (190-79, college: BYU) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists.
