Qualifying Round Round 2: Cantu - CEZ Nymburk 89-83

Cantu is one win away from the Euroleague regular season. In the second stage of the Qualifying Round the Italian squad handed 89-83 loss to CEZ Nymburk. The reigning Czech champion will compete in EuroCup this season. In the last game of qualifications Cantu will meet the winner of Unics Kazan - Le Mans match-up. Pietro Aradori top-scored in victory with 19 points. Jerry Smith had 16 points and 5 assists, while Jeff Brooks netted 13 pts. Smith was the MVP of this game with valuation 20. In defeat, A.J. Abrams and Michael Taylor answered with 16 points each. Lukas Palyza was third scorer in Nymburk with 13 pts. Maarty Leunen nailed back-to-back three-pointers to end the third-quarter and start the fourth as Cantu used a 13-0 run to surge ahead 74-57. Nymburk fought its way back within 6 in the final minute, but Cantu held on. Quarters: 23-17, 20-27, 25-13, 21-26.
