Very significant was CSKA Moscow's (#1) 31-point road victory against bottom-ranked Spartak-Prim. 82-51. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It looked good early as Spartak-Prim. took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then CSKA Moscow had a 25-4 second period charge getting the lead and Spartak-Prim. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-82.
