Regular Season Round 3: Cegledi EKK - BSE-FCSM 71-61

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Cegledi EKK (1-2) defeated at home higher ranked BSE-FCSM (1-2) 71-61. The game was mostly controlled by Cegledi EKK. BSE-FCSM was better in second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 28-of-33 charity shots (84.8 percent) during the game, while BSE-FCSM only scored nine points from the stripe. BSE-FCSM was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Polish power forward Natalia Mrozinska (191-84) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Katinka Orban (176-89) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Zita Sonyak (180-85) answered with 15 points and the former international swingman Andrea Karolyi (183-75) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BSE-FCSM. BSE-FCSM's coach Stevan Cupic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cegledi EKK left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated BSE-FCSM. Cegledi EKK will play against league's second-placed MKB Euroleasing in Sopron in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BSE-FCSM will play at home against DKSK in Miskolc and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
