We should mention about the upset which took place in Pecs, where bottom-ranked FS Debrecen (0-2) lost to eleventh ranked PVSK Pannon (1-1) in a road game 66-75 on Wednesday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-11. But FS Debrecen won third quarter 21-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international forward Norbert Toth (203-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Peter Kovacs (189-88) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American power forward Sean Carter (205-88, college: Massachusetts) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Serbian guard Stefan Fekete (188-86, agency: Beo Basket) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. PVSK Pannon left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser FS Debrecen still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Kormend and ZTE KK. PVSK Pannon will meet higher ranked Albacomp (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. FS Debrecen will play against Kaposvari (#7).
