Regular Season Round 3: Kormend - Soproni 73-63

There was a minor upset when bottom-ranked Soproni (0-2) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Kormend (1-2) 73-63. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian forward Zvonko Buljan (206-87, college: TCU) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Adam Brown (193-88, college: Houston) accounted for 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (208-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) added 21 points and 6 assists respectively for Soproni in the defeat. Kormend left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Marso NYKK and PVSK Pannon. Soproni at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Kormend's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked ZTE KK (#13) in Zalaegerszeg which should be theoretically an easy game. Soproni will play at home against the league's leader Atomeromu where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
