Regular Season Round 3: FS Debrecen - Kaposvari 74-76

A very interesting game took place in Debrecen. It ended with only two-point home defeat of bottom-ranked FS Debrecen (0-3) to sixth ranked Kaposvari (2-1) 76-74 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But FS Debrecen won third quarter 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian power forward Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Court Side) accounted for 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. American power forward Sean Carter (205-88, college: Massachusetts) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and Serbian guard Stefan Fekete (188-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for FS Debrecen in the defeat. Four FS Debrecen players scored in double figures. Kaposvari moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Szedeak and Jaszberenyi. FS Debrecen at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Kaposvari's next round opponent will be Marso NYKK (#7) in Nyiregyhazi. FS Debrecen will play on the road against Jaszberenyi (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
