LNA top team - Fribourg (3-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Highflyers (1-2) in Luzern 86-58. The game without a history. Fribourg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-24 charity shots (91.7 percent) during the game, while Highflyers only scored four points from the stripe. Fribourg forced 29 Highflyers turnovers. It was a quality performance for American forward Da'Shena Stevens (185-90, college: St.John's, agency: Two Points) who led the winners and scored 38 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Her fellow American import center Kaitlin Sowinski (196-86, college: Sacred Heart, agency: Two Points) accounted for 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side. Four Fribourg players scored in double figures. Naturalized Croatian Tatjana Pavlovic (183-90) came up with 15 points and American center Chelsea Snyder (198-90, college: VCU) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Highflyers in the defeat. Fribourg have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record, which they share with Helios. Highflyers at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Fribourg will play against Basel (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
