But Rostov was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Novosibirsk 69-36. The game without a history. Dynamo-GUVD led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rostov to just 3 points in third quarter and to 12 points in second half. Dynamo-GUVD held Rostov to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Dynamo-GUVD forced 19 Rostov turnovers. International center Natalia Myasoedova (196-87) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Maria Khrustaleva (167-87) supported her with 9 points and 6 assists. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Elena Pavlova (185-89) did not help to save the game for Rostov. Guard Olga Vorobyeva (180-87, agency: LBM Management) added 6 points for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Dynamo-GUVD (1-1) left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Dynamo M. Newly promoted Rostov still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Dynamo-GUVD will play against higher ranked UMMC Ekaterinburg (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rostov will play against Vologda-Chevakata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
