Regular Season Round 3: Triumph - Spartak-Prim. 82-73

The game with biggest difference of round 3 was host Triumph Lyubertsy's (1-1) victory at home over 4th placed Spartak-Prim. (1-2) 82-73 on Wednesday evening. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Spartak-Prim. won second period 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Canadian power forward Kyle Landry (207-86, college: N.Arizona) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. International Sergey Karasev (202-93) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Triumph Lyubertsy's coach Vasiliy Karasev used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) who recorded 19 points and 4 assists and power forward Artem Zabelin (215-88) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Triumph Lyubertsy left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Krasnie Krilya. Spartak-Prim. at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with N.Novgorod. Triumph Lyubertsy is looking forward to face Krasnie Krilya (#5) in Samara in the next round. Spartak-Prim. will play at home against Enisey Krasnoyarsk and is hoping to win this game.
