Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Monthey (3-2) defeated at home bottom-ranked Starwings (0-5) 88-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Monthey. Starwings was better in third quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Monthey looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Bosnian forward Adnan Hodzic (203-88, college: Lipscomb, agency: Pro One Sports) stepped up and scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and American swingman Denver Holmes (193-89, college: Evansville) chipped in 18 points.
