Very important is a road loss of second ranked Soproni (4-3) against tenth ranked PVSK Pannon (3-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Soproni was defeated by PVSK Pannon in Pecs 90-79. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Soproni. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-79. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Brad Loesing (182-89, college: Wofford) accounted for 12 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists for the winning side. Four PVSK Pannon players scored in double figures. PVSK Pannon's coach Ferenc Csirke used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (208-90) came up with 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for Soproni in the defeat. PVSK Pannon moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Soproni dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Jaszberenyi. PVSK Pannon will meet ZTE KK (#10) in the next round. Soproni will play against Szedeak (#8) in Szeged and hope to secure a win.
