The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Highflyers' (1-6) road loss to eighth ranked Pully (3-4) 71-80 on Saturday. The game without a history. Pully led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Highflyers' 40. Pully forced 26 Highflyers turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Quiana Porter (187-91, college: St.Peter's) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Shantrell Moss (175-85, college: Clark Atlanta) accounted for 19 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 10 steals for the winning side. Naturalized Croatian Tatjana Pavlovic (183-90) came up with 25 points and 9 rebounds and American center Chelsea Snyder (198-90, college: VCU) added 15 points and 18 rebounds respectively for Highflyers in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pully moved-up to sixth place. Highflyers lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. Pully will meet higher ranked Fribourg (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Highflyers will play against Muraltese (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
