Regular Season Round 4: Spartak V MR - Nadezhda O. 75-87

The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest Nadezhda Orenburg's (3-1) road victory over Spartak Vidnoye (#5) 87-75 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-75. Nadezhda Orenburg made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. American guard DeWanna Bonner (193-87, college: Auburn, agency: Josep and Nicolas) fired 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. International Elena Danilochkina (186-86) chipped in 16 points. The former international point guard Becky Hammon (175-77, college: Colorado St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Candice Dupree (188-84, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) added 22 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Spartak Vidnoye's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nadezhda Orenburg moved-up to third place, which they share with Dynamo M. Spartak Vidnoye at the other side keeps the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Dynamo-GUVD. Nadezhda Orenburg is looking forward to face Energy Ivanovo (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Spartak Vidnoye will play against BC Rostov (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
