Montepaschi Siena registered the third win in Euroleague regular season. They eked out a tough victory over ALBA in Berlin today. Montepaschi improved at 3-3 record, while ALBA fell at 2-4 in Group B. Daniel Daniel Hackett sank a jumper with 14 seconds left in regulation to seal the victory for Montepaschi. Montepaschi started the game confidently. The Italian champions posted a 21:17 lead after ten minutes. The visitors maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They accounted for a 39:34 halftime lead. Montepaschi extended their lead to 14 points midway through the third frame. But the hosts restored the intrigue. They cut the margin to 8 points at the final intermission 52:60. Djedovic and Idbihi put the hosts in front 61:60 midway through the final frame. The lead changed hands for several times before DeShaun Wood made it 73:70 for ALBA with just over two minutes remaining. But Thomas Ress tied things up at 73 from the penalty line. Daniel Daniel Hackett then came up with a jumper, while Zach Morley missed his attempts as Siena got away with victory. Bobby Brown nailed 21 points and issued 6 assists for Siena. Kristjan Kangur added 13 points, while Daniel Hackett netted 12 points in the win. Deon Thompson answered with 20 points and 8 boards for ALBA. Vule Avdalovic had 13 points in the loss.
