Khimky clinched a dramatic win over Fenerbahce in the opening game of EuroLeague Round 6. K.C. Rivers tipped the ball in at the buzzer as Khimky snatched a tough home win over the Turkish team. The victory allowed the hosts to improve at 4-2 record in Group A. Fenerbahce slipped at 3-3 record. Fenerbahce enjoyed a narrow 18:17 lead after ten minutes of action. However Khimky went on a 22:11 run in the second frame to take a 39:29 halftime lead. Fenerbahce cut the deficit in the third frame. Baris Ermis put the visitors within 5 points at the final break 51:56. Omer Onan finally tied things up at 60 midway through the final term. Preldzic made it 61:60 for the Turkish team. The lead changed hands for several times before David Andersen gave Fenerbahce a 70:69 advantage with 55 seconds remaining. Sergey Monya missed a triple but K.C. Rivers grabbed a rebound and tipped the ball in at the buzzer. The referees reviewed the play for some time before stating Khimkys victory. K.C. Rivers finished with 14 points to pace the hosts. Vitaliy Fridzon added 12 points for the winners. David Andersen responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Fenerbahce. Bojan Bogdanovic and Baris Ermis had 11 points each in the loss.
