Regular Season Round 10: BSE-FCSM - PEAC-PECS 41-70

Very expected game in Budapest where 9th ranked BSE-FCSM (2-8) was rolled over by third ranked PEAC-PECS (7-3) 70-41. The game without a history. PEAC-PECS led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held BSE-FCSM to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.0 percent accuracy of the winners and made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. PEAC-PECS forced 21 BSE-FCSM turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. BSE-FCSM was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for power forward Amadea Szamosi (190-94) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. American center Amy Jaeschke (196-89, college: Northwestern) contributed with 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Lilla Adamecz (181-92) replied with 8 points and 7 rebounds and guard Zita Sonyak (180-85) added 7 points in the effort for BSE-FCSM. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted PEAC-PECS maintains third position with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader UNIQA Eurol. BSE-FCSM lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Cegledi EKK. PEAC-PECS will play against league's leader MKB Euroleasing in Sopron in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BSE-FCSM will play on the road against Bacsbasket (#5) in Baja and hopes to get back on the winning track.
