Regular Season Round 8: Atomeromu - Marso NYKK 83-72
Date: November 17, 2012
The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Atomeromu as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Falco-Szova) loss. Atomeromu defeated 9th ranked Marso NYKK in Paks 83-72. The hosts were ahead by 12 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 27-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by American point guard Lorenzo Williams (189-84, college: Rice, agency: Court Side) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists and the former international Gergely Koertelyesi (202-83, agency: TSS Management) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Even 20 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by American guard Anthony Nelson (185-89, college: Niagara) did not help to save the game for Marso NYKK.
