Regular Season Round 8: Kaposvari - Falco-Szova 103-95

There was a change at the A Division leadership position after last games. Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Falco-Szova (5-3). They were defeated by third ranked Kaposvari (6-2) 103-95 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Falco-Szova. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Falco-Szova trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 25-17 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 95-103 at the end of the game. Kaposvari shot 62.9 percent from the field and made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. Kaposvari forced 20 Falco-Szova turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan) who helped to win the game recording 32 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and the former international Roland Hendlein (203-86, agency: TSS Management) who added 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American guard Jonathan Levy (193-82, college: CS San Bernar.) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import power forward Michael Fey (213-83, college: UCLA) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kaposvari keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Albacomp and Atomeromu. Falco-Szova at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Soproni. They were replaced at the leadership position by Atomeromu. Falco-Szova will play next round against Marso NYKK trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kaposvari will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg.
