Regular Season Round 5: Wisla Can-Pak - Spartak V MR 76-64

Wisla Can-Pak shock Spartak Moscow Region in Poland for the initial success this season in EuroLeague. Undefeated Russian Spartak Vidnoye recorded its first loss in Krakow on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Polish Wisla Can-Pak 76:64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Spartak Vidnoye. Wisla Can-Pak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Vidnoye's 36. The best player for the winners was Tina Charles who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Anke De Mondt chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Seimone Augustus produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and the other Candice Dupree added 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Defending Polish champion left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with IMOS Brno. Spartak Vidnoye at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Wisla Can-Pak is looking forward to face higher ranked Rivas Ecopolis on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spartak Vidnoye will have a break next round.
