Regular Season Round 8: Monthey - Neuchatel 67-58

Date: November 24, 2012
Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Monthey (6-2) defeated at home 7th ranked Neuchatel (3-5) 67-58 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 21-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian forward Adnan Hodzic (203-88, college: Lipscomb, agency: Pro One Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Denver Holmes (193-89, college: Evansville) who added 9 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (206-92) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Quinton Day (185-84, college: UMKC, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 22 points. Monthey have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Geneve Lions and SAV Vacallo. Newly promoted Neuchatel keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Monthey will face league's leader Fribourg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Neuchatel will play against the league's second-placed Geneve Lions (#2).
