Very expected game in Chiasso where 9th ranked SAM Massagno (1-7) was crushed by third ranked SAV Vacallo (6-2) 90-64 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when SAV Vacallo's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-7 extending their advantage to 26 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SAM Massagno to just 7 points in fourth quarter. SAV Vacallo forced 19 SAM Massagno turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by SAM Massagno's players. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SAV Vacallo moved-up to second place, which they share with Monthey and Geneve Lions. SAM Massagno lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. SAV Vacallo will face BBC Nyon (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. SAM Massagno will play against Boncourt.
