Regular Season Round 9: PVSK Pannon - Kormend 91-79

Everything could happen in Pecs at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked PVSK Pannon and 10th ranked Kormend had identical 3-5 record. This time PVSK Pannon used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Kormend 91-79 on Saturday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American guard Brad Loesing (182-89, college: Wofford) stepped up and scored 27 points and 8 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds. Four PVSK Pannon players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Matt Shaw (203-88, college: UNLV, agency: R.H.Consultancy) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and Croatian forward Zvonko Buljan (206-87, college: TCU) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. PVSK Pannon (4-5) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with ZTE KK and Jaszberenyi. Loser Kormend dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Marso NYKK and Szedeak. PVSK Pannon will meet league's leader Atomeromu in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kormend will play against Szedeak (#10) in Szeged and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
