The game in Jaszberenyi was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Soproni (6-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Jaszberenyi (4-5). Soproni did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 91-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Soproni. Jaszberenyi managed to win second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Soproni especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (208-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Serbian swingman Milos Markovic (201-84) with 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Serbian guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Soproni moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Falco-Szova. Jaszberenyi lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with ZTE KK and PVSK Pannon. Soproni will meet at home higher ranked Kaposvari (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jaszberenyi will play against ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
