Regular Season Round 11: MBK Eurl.Vasas - UNI Gyor 55-85

Bottom-ranked MBK Eurl.Vasas is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to second ranked UNI Gyor (8-2) 85-55 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by UNI Gyor. MBK Eurl.Vasas managed to win fourth quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Four UNI Gyor players scored in double figures. Power forward Anna Mansare (188-92) came up with 14 points and power forward Judit Barnai (190-94) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for MBK Eurl.Vasas in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second place with 8-2 record having four points less than leader UNIQA Eurol. MBK Eurl.Vasas lost their eleventh game in a row. They still closes the standings with 11 games lost. UNI Gyor will meet PEAC-PECS (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
