Regular Season Round 11: Bacsbasket - BSE-FCSM 79-42

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Bacsbasket (6-4) crushed 9th ranked BSE-FCSM (2-9) in Baja 79-42 on Sunday. The game without a history. Bacsbasket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bacsbasket forced 22 BSE-FCSM turnovers and outrebounded them 31-17 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. BSE-FCSM was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Ukrainian forward Katerina Dorogobuzova (190-90, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Latvian center Aija Brumermane (191-86, agency: Regeneracom Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Bacsbasket players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Andrea Karolyi (183-75) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Zita Sonyak (180-85) added 7 points in the effort for BSE-FCSM. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bacsbasket moved-up to fifth place. BSE-FCSM lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Bacsbasket will face league's leader MKB Euroleasing in Sopron in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BSE-FCSM will play at home against Cegledi EKK (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
