Regular Season Round 7: Unics - CSKA 64-79

PBL top team - CSKA Moscow (4-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Unics Kazan (1-2) 79-64. It was a quality performance for American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) who led the winners and scored 18 points. The former international forward Viktor Khryapa (203-82) accounted for 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. American forward Chuck Eidson (203-80, college: S.Carolina, agency: Three Eye Sports) came up with 20 points (made all of his eight free throws) and Greek power forward Kostas Kaimakoglou (206-83) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Unics Kazan in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CSKA Moscow have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 4-0 record. Unics Kazan at the other side keeps the eighth position with two games lost. CSKA Moscow will play against Lokomotiv (#4) in Kuban in the next round. Unics Kazan will play on the road against Krasnie Krilya (#5) in Samara to get more than just one victory in their record.
