Regular Season Round 7: Galatasaray - UMMC 70-71

UMMC beat Galatasaray in top game of Round 7 and remained undefeated in the group. The Russian titan celebrated a 71:70 win for 6-0 record on top. The Turkish side meanwhile suffered their first defeat and dripped to 5-1 record. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Galatasaray. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 19-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Diana Taurasi who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Candace Parker helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Lindsay Whalen responded with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Sancho Lyttle scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Defending Russian champion keeps a position of Group C leader. Galatasaray at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg will have a break next round, while Galatasaray will play at home against Lupa Promotion.
