Rather expected game when 8th ranked BBC Nyon (2-8) lost on the road to fifth ranked Lugano Tigers (6-4) 81-71. The game was mostly controlled by Lugano Tigers. BBC Nyon was better in fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BBC Nyon was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. International Florent Ramseier (195-90) scored 24 points to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Richie Gordon (203-89, college: W.Carolina) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Lugano Tigers players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Justin Rutty (200-89, college: Quinnipiac) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Marvin Owens (196-86, college: Northwood) scored 27 points. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 6-4 record. BBC Nyon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Lugano Tigers will play against SAM Massagno (#9) on the road in the next round. BBC Nyon will play against Monthey and hopes to get back on the winning track.
