The most exciting game of round 11 in the Superlaegue took place in Ekaterinburg. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked TEMP-SUMZ Revda (5-5) to third ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (8-2) 66-64 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TEMP-SUMZ Revda. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TEMP-SUMZ Revda won third quarter 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 31 personal fouls committed by TEMP-SUMZ Revda helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Anton Glazunov (182-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Oleg Baranov (202-82, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Dmitriy Kachanko (200-86) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and forward Maksim Baranov (192-82) added 5 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for TEMP-SUMZ Revda. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ural Ekaterinburg have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Univ.Surgut. TEMP-SUMZ Revda at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Avtodor and Planeta-Univ.. Ural Ekaterinburg is looking forward to face league's leader Ataman in Rostov in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TEMP-SUMZ Revda will play at home against Sojuz Zaretchny (#13) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
