Regular Season Round 12: PVSK Pannon - Marso NYKK 83-78

Rather expected game in Pecs where 9th ranked Marso NYKK (4-8) was defeated by seventh ranked PVSK Pannon (6-6) 83-78 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Marso NYKK won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when PVSK Pannon won last quarter 24-21. It was a great shooting night for PVSK Pannon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who scored 24 points. The former international forward Norbert Toth (203-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four PVSK Pannon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian forward Martins Berkis (198-85, agency: TSS Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively. PVSK Pannon moved-up to sixth place. Loser Marso NYKK keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kormend and Szedeak. PVSK Pannon will meet bottom-ranked FS Debrecen (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Marso NYKK will play against Szedeak (#11) in Szeged and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
