The game in Neuchatel was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Boncourt (5-7) played at the court of seventh ranked Neuchatel (4-8). Neuchatel did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 70-53 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Neuchatel. Boncourt was better in second period 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boncourt was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Senegalese forward Jules Aw (200-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Ray Reese (196-87, college: Tulsa) who added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Neuchatel players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Shy Ely (194-87, college: Evansville, agency: Merit Sports) with 18 points and 4 steals and international Nicolas Dos Santos (201-87) scored 4 points and 9 rebounds. Boncourt's coach Antoine Petitjean tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Neuchatel maintains seventh position with 4-8 record. Boncourt lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Neuchatel will face higher ranked Lugano Tigers (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
