Regular Season Round 13: Albacomp - Soproni 93-52

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Szekesfehervar. First ranked Albacomp faced 4th placed Soproni. Host Albacomp (12-2) smashed guests from Sopron (8-5) 93-52. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Soproni. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-52. Albacomp dominated on the defensive end, holding Soproni to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Soproni's 28. American point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) fired 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St., agency: N.E.T.) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Five Albacomp players scored in double figures. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (208-90) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Zsolt Vesztergom (194-87, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Albacomp have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-2 record. Soproni at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Falco-Szova. Albacomp are looking forward to face PVSK Pannon (#6) in Pecs in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Soproni will play at home against Kormend and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
