Regular Season Round 13: BBC Nyon - SAM Massagno 81-70

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked BBC Nyon and 10th ranked SAM Massagno had identical 2-10 record. This time BBC Nyon used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Massagno 81-70 on Saturday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Justin Rutty (200-89, college: Quinnipiac) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Canadian forward Jean-Richard Volcy (203-82, college: N.Michigan) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four BBC Nyon players scored in double figures. American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Tommy Freeman (195-88, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 17 points respectively for SAM Massagno in the defeat. BBC Nyon (3-10) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Starwings. SAM Massagno at the other side stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. BBC Nyon will meet higher ranked Boncourt (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SAM Massagno will play against Neuchatel (#7) and hope to secure a win.
