Rather predictable result in Saratov where tenth ranked Avtodor (6-6) defeated 12th ranked Severstal (3-9) 76-68. The hosts were already 13 points ahead at halftime and as many as 15 after three quarters before a 18-11 last quarter charge of Severstal cut the lead to 76-68 at the end of the game. Avtodor forced 20 Severstal turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Sergey Toropov (206-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. point guard Andrey Mateyunas (180-88) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners.
